Wow. Okay. Do surgeons really need to slice through someone's belly button? In what world is this okay? I don't care that I had a rotten organ removed from my body. I DO care that you touched my belly button. Ew. Yuck. Not cool. (Click over there ---> to see more.)
I'll get over it one day. Not today. WARNING!! The above video is really graphic. So, don't watch it if you're not into watching pimples pop and other things like that.

Just remember Tara, it could have been worse. They could have gone through your belly button while tickling the back of your neck :)

I was told that they go through the belly button so that the scarring is minimal and won't affect the look when you wear a bikini. They went through mine when I had my tubes tied .Haven't worn one since b.c.-(before children)

I think the last time I wore a bikini I was 7 years old.
I HATE my belly button. There is nothing worse than the idea of someone poking it, let alone showing a video camera down it!! Heebie Jeebies!!!
p.s. Wear a bikini!! You don't eat chips for a reason!

That was so freaking awesome!!!! I especially liked the cauterizing part - smoking in your GI tract, that's crazy! Also happy to hear you're okay Tara :) And that they went in laparoscopically - definitely decreases the recovery time. Did you have to go on antibiotics too?
